THANTIFAXATH one-sided 12" (THIS RELEASE NOW AVAILABLE ONLY FROM TOUR DE GARDE!)
Four tracks of masterfully executed black metal pressed on to 160 gram 12" vinyl for maximum enjoyment and sound quality. I honestly felt that the recording quality of this record (their first EP!) was so well done that it deserved to be pressed to 12" vinyl rather than 7" to preserve the sound quality and dynamics that the latter format lacks. The vinyl was pressed by the wizards of wax at GZ vinyl in the Czech Republic, and the result is perfection.
Although Thantifaxath have emerged only recently, they have quickly proven themselves as masters of their craft, honing and distilling the sounds of life-pain into these four perfect tracks, their recorded debut proving without a doubt that they stand a cloaked head above most black metal being made today, on any continent.
Thantifaxath will satisfy ones cravings for orthodox sounds while simultaneously forging ahead into new territory, one that is wholly their own; the riffing is twisted and dissonant, but still engaging and listenable, and although the presence of their influences is felt, and despite this being the bands first release, they have managed to define and perfect their unique sound beyond a doubt. Most importantly, this record is interesting and real. Beyond the sheer aural grimness they project is total catharsis and exhilaration, the bitter fruits of anger and despair.

A blizzard of snowblind guitars and mesmerizing dark rhythms that transcend speed and brutality and become ecstatic undulations of white noise. Inhuman voices echoing from the aurora beckon to you from beyond. Frostbitten, entrancing, supernatural black metal; like charging into battle across a windswept tundra on the back of a Svalbard bear.
A1: Svalbard Infinite A2: The Sundering Blade of Bolvangar A3: The Fury of the Panserbjorn A4: Among Witches B1: Teleutaia Makhaira.
ENSORCELOR plays battle-torn slow metal enshrouded in ethereal drone-fog; the wretched, scraping sounds of desperation being dragged behind the reluctant battle drums of despair. A blackened deluge of twisted guitars and hideous, tormented vocals entwines with ugly squalls of feedback and noise; the horror gives way only briefly to an atmospheric piano and haunting operatic singing before rising up again to crush you utterly beneath head-sundering riffage and distortion.
3 bleak elegies to eradication. All will be destroyed. Total death to everything.
A1. A crown of smoke on the brow of the Earth. A2. Sleep forever in the brine. B1. this even doom.
Approximate running time: 36 minutes.
100 cassettes-black shells with black ink and A4 poster with lyrics and the full Tentacleburg artwork as it was intended!
